1) the ability to create a timer task in manual mode (if there is no EPG for this channel, then the task cannot be created);

2)the ability to manually select a specific tuner for a specific task (with different sensitivity of tuners, the same channel on the same tuner may contain errors in the stream);

3)add more information about the DVB stream: signal status indicators L, SNR, Q, DVB demultiplexer statistical information. For example:

4)ability to add an external TV program from different sources:

DVBViewer: TV/Radio -> Timer Recordings -> Enter data for a new timer -> Click Add.

DVBViewer Media Server: Web Interface -> Timer Page -> New Timer -> Enter data for a new timer -> Click Save.

Can be achieved by using channel groups:

  • TV/Radio -> Channel Editor -> Assign a Group A...H to the channel(s) in question. You may also assign a group to a whole category or to all channels in a root folder.
  • Settings -> Options -> Hardware -> Select a tuner -> Select the channel groups that this tuner shall handle (or not handle) by (un)ticking the corresponding checkboxes.

Some information in your screenshot can be found in the DVBViewer Channel Editor. However, signal status indicators L, SNR, Q, DVB demultiplexer statistical information and stuff are not exposed by the BDA interface, but must be retrieved in a device specific way, requiring special interfaces provided by the DVB device manufacturer. This is a lot of work, first getting the information from the manufacturer, then implementing it for each device type separately... since we are short of resources (and also a bit lazy :)), I don't think that it will be implemented in near future.

This is copying an existing job for a specific channel. You can change the date and time. The channel itself cannot be changed to another one.

Did you try to click on a channel in the channel list on the left?

Oh! I had a closed channel list in the scheduler. Yes, it happened! An existing task is copied, but with the desired channel - the name and time can be edited.
