Newbie DVBViewer and Media Server problems

Hello,

I (think I) have DVBViewer configured and running. Now I am trying to use Kodi as front end to use on my TV and other PC's.

I have installed Media Server and it is running. I can access it's web interface, but I am unsure what to configure there.

I have found the Media Server wizard in DVBViewer, but I am unable to connect to the media server.

Kodi does connect to the media server but only shows the channel names, and for some channels EPG info. But streaming any channel does not work.

I think I am missing something basic, but what?

I am using the latest versions of DVBViewer, Media Server and Kodi.

My system is a Core i3 with 8 GB memory.

Windows 10 Pro version 20H2.

Digital Devices Cine S2 V7A tuner card

TIA,

Bart

Is DVBViewer/Kodi running on the same PC or on a remote PC?

A support.zip would be helpful for getting insight in your configuration. If server and client(s) are running on different (Windows) PCs, please create a support.zip on each of them.

Thank you for your response.

In the meantime, I found out that I had to set the LNB's to shared, on both DVBViewer and Media Server. Now everything works.

This was clearly a beginner/startup problem. I had to run DVBViewer to do configuration and it was at that point the only way to

be able to watch TV. Without shared LNB's, Media Server was severely handicapped.

I am running DVBViewer and Kodi on the same system. In addition, I am running Kodi on two more PC's.

Regards,

Bart
