DMS - no discontinuities in recorded stream

Hello.

 

Is it possible to have recorded stream without discontinuities (DMS 3.0.1.3), but the video contains some disruptions? Is it possible my broadcaster broadcast flawy stream?

Yes. Discontinuities only refer to missing transport stream packets, but not to video data within the transport stream packets, that may also be corrupted / distorted for some reason without missing TS packets.

Sure. Broadcasters aren't perfectly error-free. They also get the stream from somewhere, e.g. a DVB-T provider via satellite. Even with a professional 200 cm dish reception may be disturbed temporarily by a thunderstorm, for example. Clouds with a thickness of some kilometres absorb everything.
