Mircea Luchian
Hi, I'm new here and probably my topic has been discussed before so I apologise in advance. I use Media server in the PC I installed the TV card. I also Installed DVBViewer in two different notebooks which I use in my home network and I connected them with the Media server. Everything works like a charm with one big exception which is a really big problem for me. I cannot switch between channels if a channels runs on the main PC (the Media server PC). If I try to switch to a different channel on any notebook I cannot do it because the MS switch me back to the cannel that runs on the main PC. I want to be able to watch different channels on my notebooks Please help and guide me to the settings to solve this. I use Media Server 3.2.3.0 and DVBViewer 7.2.3.0. Thanks guys. YARD2
Quite easy - you need a second tuner. If you have only one tuner, this one can tune to one channel. Quote Link to comment
Griga
You need a (hardware) tuner for each frequency that shall be received at the same time. So for receiving two channels simultaneously that are located on different frequencies you need at least two tuners (or a dual tuner device like this one). However, it is possible to receive two channels that are located on the same frequency with only one tuner. Quote Link to comment
Webturtle
Hello, you can not only watch or record two channels at the same time, but all those that are broadcast on the same frequency or on the same transponder. I've recorded four or five different stations at the same time this way. With additional receivers, the same applies to additional frequencies or transponders. The DVBViewer has no problems handling two receivers DVB-S/S2 and two for DVB-T2 HD. Many greetings Webturtle Quote Link to comment
