bradholland Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Hey Guys, Ok I 've had my DVBViewer pro running sweet for almost a week now. I need to upgrade my sat card from teh suggestions I had here because my pctv remote is crap and doesnt work so well with dvbv. Anyways, I have an absolute mountain of channels, a lot of which are mostly crap. and I will start to delete them now. My question is, is it possible to arrange the channels into groups like they are on a standard SKY UK box? I.e. Entertainment, News, Documentaries, Music, Movies, Adult etc etc and then browse those categories using the osd and remote? To be honest something thats as close to the way a sky box works would be ideal (so its missus friendly) Cheers B Quote

Just use the favourites facility, and put the channels into folders there, i.e. go to Channel, Channellist, right click channel, click Add to Favourites, go to Channel editor, click Edit Fav., right click on right, select New Folder, drag your channels into each folder. Favourites can then be accessed from menu bar>Channel or right clicking video window, or by clicking yellow on your remote . Quote

You need to be able to put channels in multiple folders. e.g. Sky Sports HD should be in both sports and HD folders. Still, until the devs can address this properly - looks like the best solution, so thank you for posting it. Quote
Griga Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 e.g. Sky Sports HD should be in both sports and HD folders Difficult. Whenever you switch over to a channel (doesn't matter how and where) DVBViewer searches the first matching favourite in the list and regards it as "active favourite" henceforth. Thus the "favourite plus" function would never get past the second "Sky Sports HD" entry, but jump back to the first one. And that's not the only problem arising from double entries in the favourite list. With an ambiguous channel -> favourite relation further aspects of the internal handling would get quite complicated. Quote
Benarty Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 You can add folder in the favorites. I have devided the favorites in French/Dutch/German/Englisch To switch move up to the top of the channel list and you will see 2 dots (..) Click on that line to get back to the folder list. Quote
