robena
Hi, I have a PC running Window 7 Ultimate 64x, SP1, using 2 Technotrend TT S2 Budget 3200 cards. The driver version is 5.0.3.5. I have installed DVBViewer pro 4.9.0.0, and the Technotrend CI extensions. One of the card has a CI extension module, filled with a CAM PCMCIA Astoncrypt 2 card, and receives the Astra 19 E French Canal+ feed. The Option -> Hardware -> Has CI module box is of course set to ON. The mainboard is a Gigabyte P35-DS4, the graphic card is an HD3450. The PC is a multiboot system, which also runs XP. Under XP, the CAM card is recognized by DVBViewer (an older 4.0 version in fact). On Windows 7, neither the 4.0 version, nor the 4.9 one that I just installed to be able to ask for support see the CAM module. The View -> Show CAM menu item remains grayed out. The CAM is working, since it's viewed under XP. Is there a known problem with Windows 7 x64 in that aspect? support.zip Edited October 1, 2011 by robena Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ
Did you download/install the TT CAM support dll and the MS VC Runtime files while installing on windows 7? Quote Link to comment
robena
Did you download/install the TT CAM support dll and the MS VC Runtime files while installing on windows 7? I selected the TechnoTrend CAM add-on, and it did install the MS VC runtime. I'm not sure about the DLL. It must have been, since I selected the add-on, but what's its name and on what directory is it supposed to be? Quote Link to comment
Griga
ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll in the DVBViewer installation directory (where DVBViewer.exe is). Quote Link to comment

robena
I downgraded the TT driver to the 5.0.1.8 version, and that solved the problem. So, it seems that the 5.0.3.5 version does not work with a CAM. That's with DVBViewer 4.0, although it would probably also work with 4.9. But I miss the features that have been removed since 4.0, so I won't be using 4.9, except when I need to ask for support. Edited October 2, 2011 by robena Quote Link to comment
PeterF
It`s not a downgrade to the 5.0.1.8 driver, it´s the only driver to use with DVBViewer and others. The 5.0.3.5 driver is only for the WIN7 Mediacenter, it is writtte in the downloadpage from technotrend "Special driver version only for WIN7 MediaCenter", if you use the false driver, it can`t work.
