daveyboyc Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 It seems that TBS 6981 Dvb-s dual tuner cards do not wake-up from standby to record reliably upon using the DVBViewer recording service and often produce 0bytes in recording. The "reset after wake-up from standby" option/hack does'nt work well in this case either so the only way around it is a system restart. If having the option of DVBViewer recording service waking up your PC to record after hibernation is something you want, then maybe its best to hold off buying one of these cards until they update the drivers and fix it. ThulsaDoom Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Must be a problem with your setup and/or configuration. I´m using this card without any problems for month now. Wakeup from S3 does always work. The option "reset after wake-üp from standby" is not enabled in my rs configuration. Quote
daveyboyc Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 How many cards are you using? This is a problem using more than one card. TBS have responded to me saying they found a bug and have hopefully fixed it in a new driver update. Quote
ThulsaDoom Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) One TBS-6981, so i´ve got 2 Tuners to use. Wasn´t aware that there might be a problem with more than one 6981 card inserted into a pc. What driver do you use? I found the .14 or the new .21 driver to work best for me. Channelswitching is fast as hell ! Edited November 1, 2011 by ThulsaDoom Quote
daveyboyc Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 The driver I'm using is a new one they emailed me. You can get it here: http://hotfile.com/dl/133923546/152a43a/20111101_driver-release.rar.html Quote
daveyboyc Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 This bug is fixed with the new driver. Quote
ThulsaDoom Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Good to hear! As i have only one card installed, í prefer to stay with the current driver, but i´ve downloaded your file, too. Maybe there´s the need for me to use it someday !?! Thanks for sharing ! Quote
