Thank you for the response, I think the approach (4) is fine. In our situation, we need to maximize the amount of recorded minutes. But I'd like to stress the discoverability of the problematic channels. I just viewed the Status tab: I noticed when there are just 8 DVB-S tuners active, the delay is ~10 seconds. When 8 DVB-S tuners + 9 radio stations from the Internet, then the delay is ~17 seconds. svcdebug.log is full of SetTuner failed messages, but there is just info about tuning: Can this log be made more human-readable: show the station and exact Timer, which causes it? The good solution would be also informing about the tuning failings in the web interface. I think the info should show the channel and the timer which causes the tuning to fail. The perfect solution would be making the web interface asynchronous regarding the tuning and other long-lasting processes, but I guess it a great amount of work. What do you think?

Hallo, mittels eines selbstgeschriebenen Tools befülle ich den DMS mit EPG Daten. Das funktioniert soweit wunderbar. In den EPG Quelldaten sind zusätzliche Felder enthalten wie z.B. "Sub-Titel / Episode", "Jahr", "Kategorie". Wie müssen diese Felder in der XML heißen, welche ich dem DVBViewer Media Server per HTTP API übergebe? Ich habe bereits mehreres versucht, wie z.B. <sub-title>, <year>, <category> etc., keines hat zum Erfolg geführt. Vielen Dank.

Es entzieht sich meinem Verständnis, warum Leute sich solche "Sicherheitssoftware" antun und dafür auch noch bezahlen Der Windows Defender ist für den Hausgebrauch vollkommen ausreichend.

...but if you want TV streams to be played with the LAV Source Filter by all means, and if you are inclined to try something stupid, you can do the following: Use the DVBViewer Media Server, go to the Links page of the web interface and download a HTTP Channel List (Original Streams) as M3U file. Import this M3U channel list into the DVBViewer Channel Editor by drag & drop. For each channel tick the "Play as File" checkbox at the right-> Apply. Go to Settings -> Options -> Playback Components -> DVBViewer Filter and untick *.ts in the "Use DVBViewer Filter for" section. Tune a channel from the imported M3U list. Now the LAV Source Filter is used for playing it. It is possible, because each channel stream has a HTTP URL. However, you will soon encounter restrictions. In particular there is no EPG and no teletext, because the LAV Source Filter does not process such DVB specific data, even if it is contained in the stream. You cannot record the channel in the usual way, because the LAV Source Filter contains no recording engine. And so on...

Technically impossible. The LAV source filter / splitter can't receive streams delivered by a DVB card (BDA) driver. Only files or network streams with a URL.

Keine. Ist auch nicht zu erwarten bei HLS (erkennbar an der Endung .m3u8 in der URL). Für dieses Format ist keine EPG-Übertragung spezifiziert, ebensowenig wie für MPEG Dash (Endung .mpd). Hoffen kann man darauf eigentlich nur, wenn ein Transportstrom ohne weitere Verpackung via HTTP geliefert wird.

Hat sich erledigt. Ich hatte den Shortcut versehentlich auf "DVBViewer (Safe Mode)" gesetzt. Mit "DVBViewer Pro" ist alles gut.

Hallo, DVBViewer Pro 7.3.1.0 auf Windows 11, 25H2. Nach einem Rechnerwechsel habe ich den DVBViewer wieder installiert und alles funktioniert wieder, bis auf ... Bereits beim ersten Start nach der Installation wurde kein Sender angezeigt. Erst dachte ich an lose Kabel etc., aber bei der Auswahl eines Senders kamen Bild und Ton, alles gut. Leider wird entweder beim Beenden der letzte Kanal nicht gespeichert, oder beim Start ignoriert. Ich hab auch schon die Option "Beim Starten letzten Sender einschalten" aus- und wieder angewählt, keine Reaktion. Nach dem Start des Viewers bleibt das Bild schwarz. Was ist zu tun? Gruss - Peter

Merkwürdig. Ich hatte vermutet, dass du den VMR 7/9 ohne VMR Fix verwendest. Damit ist nämlich der geschilderte Effekt bei bestimmten Grafikkarten bekannt. Mit dem Custom oder Standard EVR überhaupt nicht. Du könntest noch in zwei andere Richtungen schauen: Welcher Video Decoder ist für das wiedergegebene Format ausgewählt bzw. aktiv (siehst du bei laufender Wiedergabe unter Einstellungen -> Filter). Ist der LAV Video Decoder bei dir vorhanden / auswählbar? Falls nicht: Installieren. Nimm den Installer und winke alle Voreinstellungen durch. Insbesondere nicht die 32-Bit-Version abwählen. Die braucht der DVBViewer. Bietet der Treiber deiner Grafikkarte Einstellungen zur BIldver(schlimm)besserung oder für Automatik-Funktionen? Die machen oft Probleme, und es ist besser, sie erst mal abzuschalten.

Sorry, missed that. Regarding your catalogue above: There are no messages that are related to a specific hardware. Only to the DVBViewer UI. Tuning can be performed by channel list index or channel ID, not by LCN or frequency. DVBViewer will allocate a matching hardware for playing the channel, but won't tell you which hardware is used (however, if there is only one tuner for a given reception type, you will know, of course). You can query which channel is currently played, but no availability information can be retrieved by messages. But by using a plugin (DLL) that exports certain functions you can get a tuner dataset containing reception parameters, IDs, PIDs etc when DVBViewer tunes a channel., request streams (PIDs) or the whole mux by using messages, receive the TS via callbacks and look it up yourself. Another possibility is using the DVBViewer COM interface and VBScript or a similar language. There are examples in the Scripts sub-directory of the DVBViewer program directory. Sorry, I don't have much time for it now. And explaining everything that is not possible or possible and giving examples for it will take a lot of time Anyway, I will check if there is some documentation available and post it here as soon as I find time for it.

You are badly informed. What you want is supported since years.

Schau mal im DVBViewer unter Einstellungen -> Optionen -> DVBViewer Media Server nach. Da ist der DVBViewer bei dir als Client eines Media Servers mit der Adresse 127.0.0.1:8082 konfiguriert. Der tatsächliche Port des Webservers ist aber 8089, nicht 8082. Entweder musst du in den Media Server-Optionen den Port des Webservers angleichen, oder im DVBViewer. Weiterhin würde ich empfehlen, DVBViewer und Media Server beide auf die aktuelle Beta-Version zu aktualisieren. Deine DVBViewer-Version ist 7.3.1.9 Beta, die Media Server-Version 3.3.1.0. Es ist immer besser, wenn die Versionen konform sind. Das wäre aktuell 7.3.1.12 und 3.3.1.12

Hallo zusammen, den DVBViewer nutze ich schon wirklich lange und bin sehr zufrieden damit, wirklich gelungene Software.... Nur ein, wirklich kleines, Problem ärgert mich noch etwas.... Seit der Umstellung von Recording Service auf Media Service im Zuge der Neuinstallation auf einen neuen Rechner bekomme ich ca. 4-5sec. nach dem beenden von Timeshift die Fehlermeldung das der Media Server nicht erreichbar ist, obwohl sowohl Timeshift als auch Live-TV normal funktioniert. Die 4-5sec. Gedenkzeit hab ich auch beim Ein und ausschalten vom DVBViewer aber ohne Fehlermeldung, hatte ich zuvor auch nicht. Vielleicht gibt es ja eine Lösung dafür. support.zip

Vielen Dank Griga, dies habe ich gemacht: Mit dem DVBViewer Pro Downloader habe ich den DVBViewer Pro und den Media Server aktualisieren lassen. Statt der *.conf Datei habe ich die lamedb(.ldb) Datei vom Kabel-Helpdesk via exportieren für Enigma2 heruntergeladen und nun meinen Ablauf von oben durchgeführt aber bei 1.1 natürlich die lamedb verwendet. und nun es hat geklappt. (Mit Ausnahme von Kodi, da sind nun alle Radio-Aufzeichnungen verschwunden bzw. zum Teil in den TV-Aufzeichnungen gelandet). Schönes Wochenende!
