antdude Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 (edited) Hello! I noticed TechniSat DVBViewer uses .ts file for timeshifting. Is there a way to tell DVBViewer not to delete this file after using time shifting? Also, how come Windows Media Players (6.4 and 9.0) and my DVD players (WinDVD 6 and PowerDVD 5) cannot play it but can play .mpg files? I assume both ts and mpg are MPEG-2 formats. I had to use VideoLan Client and Media Player Classic, but they played choppily. I assume it is because they don't use special DVD decoders. With ATI's MultiMedia Center (MMC), it saves the time shifting into its VCR file format. If I stop using time shifting or close MMC, the file stays. However, it gets overwritten if I use time shifting again. I was hoping DVBViewer does the same, but the file format is different and deleted after using it (even fast forwarded to the end of time shift). Thank you in advance.
