squizzer22 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Hi, I have a pundit-r and like the other PC, when you press the power button, windows shutdowns. With other software, it just exits the soft and shutdown windows, but with DVBViewer, nothing happens. regards, Squizzer. Quote
mrr19121970 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 yep, you have to close DVBViewer first. you can try to see if your software has a "force" option. you could also tell DVBViewer to shutdown afterrecording in your scheduler. Quote
Griga Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 you can try to see if your software has a "force" option Not recommendable. DVBViewer doesn't allow Windows to close it from outside, since it may be a forced action (due to a user clicking that "Close Immediately" button) with no opportunity to finish a recording properly or to say good bye to the DVB device drivers, thus leaving them in an unhealthy state - streams open, but receiver gone, no LNB power off etc., which may cause serious issues under certain circumstances, particularly with TechniSat cards. DVBViewer is no word processor, you know... DVB device drivers have to be handled with care. Quote
