studavis Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hi there I have a WinNova-T DVB-T card that I use with DVBViewer to watch UK freeview television. Is there any way that I can turn on the subtitles in DVBViewer?? I just see no option to do it. Is it a limitation of the card or the DVBV software?? thanks in advance! Quote
hackbart Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hmm what do you mean? MHEG or Teletext resp. DVB Subtitles. The last two are definitively supported by BBC and can be also watched inside the DVBViewer. MHEG is not supported at the moment, as well as MHP. I have it on my todo list, but the priority is quite less - since the most european countries (especially germany) do not excessively use it. Christian Quote
studavis Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 i know MHEG isn't supported - it's the subtitles (of the type that used be on 888 Fasttext on normal TV). How do you turn them on in DVBViewer? Quote
Derrick Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 ..dunno about dvb-t in the UK but the subtitle funktion of the DVBViewer is broken If the SI is similar to dvb-s it will crash the program http://www.DVBViewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10668 Quote

How do you turn them on in DVBViewer? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Select View Subtitles, and then select the English stream under DVB Subtitles (by default the subtitle stream will not be selected). It worked for me in 3.2.5 but I haven't tried it in 3.2.6 yet. Quote
