sasha Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I've tried several mpeg2 codecs, but every single one was giving me picture consiting of blocks. First I thougt that the channels I was watching were with low quality picture. But after some time I realised that this is the problem with all channels I've tried. Video looks like low quality divx movies. Smudged and contains little blocks. My configuration is: Intel CPU 2.4GHz 512MB DDR333 Sapphire ATI 9250 (resolution 800x600) Technisat SkyStar2 2.6D This is the problem I have with other DVB players like ProgDvb and AltDvb so I suspect it is not a DVBViewer problem. I would like to see some sugestions. What codecs do you use on what graphic card and what graphic driver? Thanks, Sasa Quote
Griga Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Which DVBViewer version? A good MPEG2 decoder is the one from PowerDVD 6 Trial (Cyberlink). It still works after the trial period has exceeded. Give it a try. Quote
sasha Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Griga, funny you should say that, at the moment I'm reading your answer that is the exact codec that I'm using in DVBViewer (version 3.2.6). The picture is almost the same as with older ATI(Cyberlink) codec and a little beter then with the newest Intervideo codec. Also this is the only codec I've tried that displays HDForum channel properly. (With oder codecs it sutters every 2-3 seccond) Thanks for your advice Quote
