Jahu Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hey everyone. Just purchased DVBViewer and I don't seem to get it working. Perhaps I've missed something? Card is Hauppauge Nexus CA (Cable), which is usually identified as Skystar 1 in other programs. I installed DVBViewer and went to see how the scannel scan works. Looked simple enough and I made a proper .INI-file for the scan. Well, nothing happens. Looks like my card isn't being detected. I tried TransEdit and detect devices - nothing. Tried the directX-tab, there's DVB file device and Unicast/Multicast network devices. Nothing else. Card works with other programs, so there's some kind of detection issue? Quote
Guest Oliver Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Full-featured cards like the Nexus or the old Skystar 1 are not supported; neither with native nor BDA drivers (since there aren't any). Here are lists of compatible cards: http://www.DVBViewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9117 http://www.DVBViewer.com/forum/index.php?s...indpost&p=83719 Quote
Jahu Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 Well doh. It listed Skystar 1, which is the one every other program regognizes Nexus as. So I thought there won't be any problems. Wish I had known this before I wasted 15€ Quote
mcihael Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Is it possible to get a refund?? Why should it? You have had the opportunity to - check the list of compatible hardware - test the comaptibility of your hardware using the free Transedit MMC application - ask in the forum before you decided to buy DVBViewer. Also, software available via download will be refunded by no company in the world. Michael Quote
