Missing EPG window

This is really annoying problem. Seems that EPG window is working with everyone else but me. If I choose EPG from toolbar, file menu or right click tv-picture->EPG window nothing happens, "mini EPG" when changing channels is ok. Same behaviour with both 3.2.6 and newest beta. There were almost same kind of problem with missing teletext window in some previus version. However EPG.dat file updates itself, I just cannot view it's content with DVBViewer.

The window is outside the visible screen area.

 

1) Find out where the file Setup.xml, that DVBViewer Pro actually uses, is located. It depends on the usermode. Read more about it here.

 

2) Close DVBViewer. Open the file Setup.xml with a text editor. Search for

 

- <section name="frmEPG">
 <entry name="PictureW">111</entry> 
 <entry name="X">500</entry> 
 <entry name="Y">212</entry> 
 <entry name="W">600</entry> 
 <entry name="H">600</entry> 
 </section>

 

and set the X and Y values to 0, in order to move the window to the upper left corner of your monitor.

 

3) Save the file, launch DVBViewer, open EPG window. It should show up now.

This is actually a feature request, but since it is so closely related to this problem I thought to post it in this thread.

 

I have also had problems with windows popping up where I can not access them. This happens expecially when i'm using tv as extended display and switch DVBViewer from monitor to tv, which has a different resolution. What I'm suggesting is a feature similar to what zoomplayer has. If you right click zoomplayer taskbar icon it has an option to reset window position. Selecting it resets the window to the top-left corner of the first display, which is the default original position.

 

Could it be possible to have this kind of feature in DVBViewer pro? I guess it can be done manually like Griga said, but it is something I would like to have more easily accessible and not requiring a restart.
