mitsu Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 (edited) Every time starting DVBViewer with Finnish DVB-T channel MTV3 (Hauppauge Nova-T USB2) causes jerky playback. Picture moves a little randomly every few seconds. After some tens of seconds playback starts working normally. This repeats after changing channels or rebuilding graph but only in one multiplex. When errors happen DVB Source Properties says: Last Error: PTS too early (xx) Video PTS shows around 1.1 seconds Audio PTS shows arnound 0.7 seconds Edited February 25, 2006 by mitsu Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Which DVBViewer Version? Don't use the new filter with the Pro/Pro Beta. Quote
Griga Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Read the included Readme file. It tells you what to do. DVBViewer Pro doesn't work properly with the new DVBViewer Filter. Particularly the Preview function is affected. I recommend to use DVBViewer Filter 2.4.3, that is also available in the members area, until it is fixed in the next Pro release. Quote
mitsu Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 I use the latest Pro Beta, obviously that is the problem. I didn't know that the 2.6.1 is not intended for the Beta. Maybe it is mentioned somewhere. Anyway the 2.6.0.1 seem to work ok. Quote
Griga Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Anyway the 2.6.0.1 seem to work ok. No, it doesn't. Unfortunately DVBViewer Pro calls a function that is only intended for internal usage. This function has been changed in 2.6. However, the issue described at first can most likely be fixed by adjusting values on the DVBViewer Filter property page. Quote

Pretty much same function with all different values. However I didn't do very careful testing. Quote
rolando Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I use DVBViewer Beta 3.4.9.239 with filter 2.6.1.1 sometime i have the same problem with "PTS too early (2948)" the picture freeze for a few minutes and in the timeshiftfile the timecode jump 15 minutes back. What is the best filter for the beta 3.4.9.239 ? Read the included Readme file. It tells you what to do. DVBViewer Pro doesn't work properly with the new DVBViewer Filter.
