pastimer Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 (edited) Hi, I want to make recordings and view the recordings using UPnP software. I tried progdvb with /NoGraph. This works great for broadcasting. But when i stream recordings to the UPnP client, after a few seconds the video freezes. DVBViewer works much more stable but uses more resources. Can i stop mpeg-decoding (viewing) while recording on the server? Thanks, Eppo Edited March 20, 2006 by pastimer Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Use disable av and start with -c param. Quote
pastimer Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 (edited) Use disable av and start with -c param. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tried both suggestions, but to no avail: I use Athlon XP 2600+ windows xp, 512 MB. I have now 85% avarage cpu utilisation while 'tuned' . With progdvb i have only 15% cpu utilisation ! It does not make a difference whether i effectively record or not for cpu ! What is DVBViewer doing?? Regards, Eppo Edited March 21, 2006 by pastimer Quote
Derrick Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 What is DVBViewer doing?? Good question.. ..it's teasing you If you still have such a high cpu usage, the graph is probably not switched off properly. Some applications are like french cars. When everybody else had the indicator on the left side of the steering wheel, citroën had it on the right. You could ask for a button to switch-off AV Quote
