lundeberg Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi! A few days ago I bought the DVBViewer Pro, without knowing if it would work with my FireDTV T/CI since it was not in the list of certified devices, however it works great here in Sweden using Boxer subscription with both free-to-air and pay channels. I only have two concerns: 1) Lacking good command-line switches for recording a program. 2) For some reason it sometimes changes my recording times and moves them earlier by 1-3 minutes (Hopefully a Beta issues) Personally I think this is the best program I have tested together with FireDTV, since I can easily record ts-streams and it logs stream errors while recording. /Micke Quote
Guest Oliver Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Oh, it's been in the list: http://www.DVBViewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9117&st=0 2) Don't think so. Probably you set this in the options. Quote

lundeberg Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 there is no need for commandline switches for programming recordings. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lars, I guess you are referring to using scripting instead of command line switches, but I just would like a simple way of using DVBViewer together with WebShifter (I tried DABDIG as a middleware but it does not seem to work) Oliver, 1) Please add FireDTV T/CI to the supported DVB devices, because looking throught the list again with the above link only shows FireDTV S/CI and FireDTV S and hopefully a lot of "T/CI" users would be interested! 2) Where is the option that would trigger to set my times off by 1-3 minutes. (I know about the pre and post adding times that I have set to 5 min) (Do not missunderstand me, I think DVBViewer Pro is a great product) /Micke Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 but I just would like a simple way of using DVBViewer together with WebShifter use a script with commandline and the same technique like the tvgenial or tvinfo standalone: if the DVBViewer is running send the timer via com, if not manipulate the timers.xml. It's really simple. At least much simpler than building a complicated comandline parser for timers which only very very few use. Quote
lundeberg Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 Lars, Pointing me in the direction of tvgenial-plugin solved my command-line issue by using dvbv_tvg.exe. Thank you for your prompt answer! Now I am only stuck with my scheduling issue, but since I am using a BETA release I will post that in the BETA forum. /Micke Quote
