DimitriJunker Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 When I start DVBViewer TE as a normal user I receive the following error message: Die Anweisung in "0x451629e6" verweist auf Speicher in "0x00000000"Der Vorgang read konnte nicht auf dem Speicher durchgeführt werden. It´s german, but I'm sure you know what it means. If I ignore this message DVBViewer works more or less fine, at least until I trie to change a channel. Often then the program freezes, and I only can stop it either by using the OK button of the obove mentioned error message, or of course with the task manager. For a few times I tried the program as administrator and did not had these problems. I asked Technisat for help, they told me to set the file rights so, that the user has access to all files. But all Files in D:\Programme\DVBViewerTE\ D:\Programme\TechniSat DVB\ are already set so, that 'everybody' has full access. So there must be an other problem. I hope somebody can help. Griga Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 May be as well an attempt to access a registry key, dunno... IMO DVBViewer TE is simply unusable in limited user accounts. I finally gave up and deleted the app. You could use SysInternals tools like FileMon and RegMon to find out what's going on, but if you ask me... not worth trying. I'd rather spend additional 15 Euro for DVBViewer Pro/GE. That will be cheaper, in the end. And you really get a lot for that money. DVBViewer Pro/GE explicitely support execution in limited user accounts (read about the User Mode here). Quote
sarg Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 The message you got says that DVBViewer tries to access ram area where already data is stored. did you use fast userchange of XP? may it is your failure. try to log off an log on the other account. in access managment you have to insert the users who should get access and grand them rights.
