chernobyl Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Can DVBViewer do screen grabs?..i know i could record and extract a single frame but thats a bit extreme. Quote
Griga Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Two possibilities: 1) Select XVR Surface in the Enhanced Options/Render Output. After this, the DVBViewer won't use overlay mode anymore, and you can make your screenshots with ALT+PrtScr 2) Deactivate the Overlay Mixer in the options (switch to "Unchanged") and terminate the DVBViewer. Launch another program that uses overlay, any player will do... let it play a short part of a video and then let it pause. Then launch the DVBViewer again. It won't use overlay now, because overlay is already occupied. Then make your screenshots with ALT+PrintScr. CU Griga Quote
chernobyl Posted February 23, 2003 Author Posted February 23, 2003 What difference does overlay make? Quote
Guest DAvenger Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Future version of XVR should be able to capture even when using overlay Quote
Griga Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 @chernobyl: Overlay is a screen output mode, which is advantageous for showing videos. It uses a separate part of the screen memory on your graphics card. For displaying an overlay picture there are some usefull hardware functions, which, for example, make it easy to resize the picture horizontally and vertically without complicated software calculations - for different aspect ratios, full screen etc. Therefore the overlay mode needs less CPU Power, but normal screen capturing isn't possible, as you might have experienced. Let's see how RadScorpion will solve this problem... Griga Quote
