Adam T. Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Hello I have configuration like below: 1. PC with SS2 and latest DVBV with netstream plugin (unicast) - server 2. PC without SS2 and latest DVBV with unicast client as a device - client Everything works OK, but.... I need one little function. When I change channel in DVBV client it should be also changed in DVBV server and vice versa. I know that there is something like http webserver, but it's too complicated for my mother Are there any chances for such strange functionality ?? Quote
hdv Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Hello, use on the Server-PC the DVBServer where you can find also in the installation folder too. Here a little Guide (in german ) but pictures can say more Unicaststreaming DVBServer --> DVBViewer with this combination you can switch through the channels like the DVB-Card is build in the Client-PC Quote
Adam T. Posted September 11, 2006 Author Posted September 11, 2006 Yes I know about the DVBServer application, but I need an ability to watch same channel simultaneousy on server and client machine. The combination of DVBServer and DVBViewer on server, and DVBV on client is IMHO a little bit complicated. Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Well the netstream plugin is only meant to stream the currently shown channel. For more there is the dvbserver. you can always use a DVBViewer configured as client on the server pc. And remember only the master (first connected) client is allowed to switch channels. Currently there are no plans to extend the netstreaming plugin any further. Quote
Adam T. Posted September 11, 2006 Author Posted September 11, 2006 Well the netstream plugin is only meant to stream the currently shown channel. This is exactly what I need, but with little channel change function How DVBServer behave on encrypted channels (of course with proper hardware)? Client receives decrypted audio and video? Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 It is reported as working but only with one encrypted channel at a time. Quote
