HDTV not running smooth after installing new graphics adapter

Hi,

Last week I installed a new XFX Geforce 7300LE graphics adapter to improve picture quality on my flatscreen...

Up until I installed the new graphics adapter the only HD channel I can receive "C More HD" was running very smooth using the VGA output on my PC. All other "normal" channels are working perfectly in terms of performance.

I have changed notning but the graphics adapter and the driver. The picture quality is still perfect but now it looks like frames are missing. Processor load when watching the channel appx. 35%.

When using other applications like MyTheatre and MediaPortal there is no problem watching this channel.

Software:

Windows XP SP2 - English version - with all updates from "windowsupdate.microsoft.com"

DVBViewer 3.5.0 PRO

Nvidia Driver 92.91

Codec: Cyberlink Video codec from PowerDVD 7

Video Renderer: Overlay Mixer

Hardware:

Dell Optiplex GX280 SFF

2,8 GHz P4

512 MB RAM

XFX GeForce 7300LE

FireDTV-C TV Tuner - BDA Driver Version: 4.2 - Firmware: 1.2.1

Any ideas?

Hi Lebeck,

do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled or not? What about using VMR9? Does your Issue still appear?

Hello,

this must change in the decodersettings

for the cyberlink, see under

DVBViewer -> View -> Filters -> CyberLink Video SP/Decoder -> "use Hardware Accelelerator" turn off

:bye:

I tried disabling "Hardware Acceleration" on the Cyberlink Video Codec... it helped - but it's still not perfect :-(

Then kick Nvidia's butt for their d*mn f*cking Cards! Can't get my 6600GT up running with Hardware Acceleration :bye: . Without it runs fine but picture quality is a little more crisp with HA turned on :bye: ...
