mitsu Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) I got a new MSI 7600GS with heatpipe. Suprisingly many problems with it so far. I installed Forceware 93.71 and the Purevideo trial. Nvidia decoder shows on the DVBV decoder list (MPEG2) normally but does not activate. If I select Nvidia the next one (Cyberlink) is used instead. Another problem is that Sonic Cinemaster decoder works normally with SD channels but Canal+ HD shows black screen. Other decoders work OK also with HD channel. Edited November 11, 2006 by mitsu Quote
Trifon Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Jello May be some issue with the Forceware, test the beta or older one. Canal + HD is Scrambled, DVB-S2 and H264. You need Subscripter card, DVB-S2 card and H264 codec(Cyberlink, CoreAVC). Cheers Quote
mitsu Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Interestings features now with Sonic Cinemaster decoder. Shows SD channels normally but not HD channels (MPEG2). But shows HD recordings OK. On playback sometimes picture freezes and sound continues for some seconds but then ends up with computer restarts. Nvidia decoder is not working with Forceware beta either. Quote
Trifon Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Hello, Likely very old story about Purevideo Nvidia codec compatibility issue with third party software. To clarify the situation, I suggest you test an early version present in Mpeg decoder 2.08 pack downloadable from Multidec&Co. Remove the trial one before installing it and don't make any installation on top of it as you get nice codecs jam. Cheers Quote
