essdsm Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 One of the reasons I chose DVBViewer Recorder was that it seemed to promise mpg files which would be DVD compliant. I was using GB-PVR but ended up having to demux and 'fix' the resultant mpegs using ProjectX which was becoming a real pain. So I had hoped to avoid this stage in DVBViewer. However, despite selecting the DVD Packet size in the Recorder settings I am finding that the video and audio is still slightly out of sync when capturing using DVBViewer and so I'm still having to post-process the mpegs with ProjectX which kind of disappoints me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Quote
Guest Oliver Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Hm, so much information. Generally all recordings are in sync. You could post a ProjectX log of an out-of-sync file. Quote
Gioxy Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 despite selecting the DVD Packet size Why do you think that "DVD Packet size" is related to AV sync??? As stated in the Oliver's DVBViewer manual: "DVD packet size creates always 2048 bytes packets, or more precisely, lets the recorder align the data packets to 2048 byte borders by filling the remaining space with stuffing bytes. This may be suitable for stand-alone DVD players, but increases the file size." ...so nothing to do at all with AV sync... Quote
