beermonster49 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Using beta 3550. Half of the toolbar icons and half of the taskbar info disappeared last night, both on the right hand side. I'm assuming I did something without realising to get rid of them. Despite going thru the manual and trying every option and the normal clicking on the the toolbar I can't find a way of adding/removing icons from the toolbar or taskbar. A reinstall solved the problem, but there are obvious buttons missing like the 'recording settings' (eg the scheduled progs window) Am I missing something obvious or is it not possible to add/remove buttons? Another, probably me missing something problem - if the 'black' area around the picture is clicked the (OSD?) channel line up appears on top of the picture. How on earth do i get rid of it without shutting DVBViewer down? Cheers. Graham. Quote

Well you simply could do nothing and wait till it disapears after 30 secs or you press the esc key or you press the middle mousebutton. Quote
Gioxy Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) is it not possible to add/remove buttons? No, not in DVBViewer Pro, only in GE version How on earth do i get rid of it without shutting DVBViewer down? Or you can disable mouse at all checking Setting / Options / OSD General / Disable mouse in OSD... Edited November 15, 2006 by Gioxy Quote

Thanks Lars and Gioxy - OSD is disabled now. It was just driving me nuts trying to get rid of it from the screen - you know, one of those 'bees in my bonnet'. Pity you can't play with the toolbar icons in the pro version. I've tried the GE version - indeed it is trial running on the pc downstairs which is used purely for recording from the radio and at odd times TV. For some reasons GE naturally records radio (freeview UK) in mp2 format that can be renamed to mp3 for perfect playback on the car mp3 player, whereas the pro version seems to record radio in mpg format, requiring demuxing before being playable on an mp3 player. (However, I've just discovered that if the audio recorder plugin is used with pro, scheduled radio recordings do record in mp2 format without a need for demuxng.) GE would do ok on this main pc, except it is used a lot for listening to the radio and there is a lot of stutter and 'dropout' requiring the graph rebuilding which does not happen to any great degree on the pro version. Tried various filters. Any comments for interest on this would be welcome. Cheers. Graham. Quote

Have had an annoying feature with the display settings icon that is not active in the task bar. After re-install it works for one adjustment and then turns unactive. As well some older tasks in left-click task list have disappeared... Edited November 19, 2006 by burgerman Quote
