More info can be found in previous messages but this is the latest situation.

WDM drivers: encrypted channels can be opened but bad video performance both with onboard I945GM as with ATI 1600Pro. FTA has the same problem.

So, latest BDA drivers and FTA works great but DVBViewer can not tune to any encrypted channel at all.

OSD shows the yellow lock symbol and note: DVBViewer still uses 1-3% processorload so it's doing something but there seems to be a memory problem cause DVBviwer keeps on using more and more memory up to 47500KB starting from around 36700KB.

Mediaportal has no problems with the cam and shows the encrypted channels, but it's TV engine is not so good. Point is: that confirms that the problem is related with DVBViewer.

Signal strengts varies between 46% and 73%

Quality strengts between 53% and 99%

Is it not possible to expand the cam menu so that there's a cam section in the options where users can switch on/off certain functions?

Note: siefern/Mediahighway: it seems that beta versions refuse to store this settings.

If I delete these and apply the change, close DVBViewer, start DVBViewer again, then those erased lines

appear again in the options. Other settings are correctly saved.

Included: support.zip file

Eh, could not add support.zip

Board error:

The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments.

Since it is a cam problem:

Cam menu was accessible, cam info also, smartcard info failed.

Bump:

Debug log:

What means:

03.12.2006 19:21:45 TBDACIModule.AddPacket FCounter :6

03.12.2006 19:21:45 TBDACIModule.AddPacket FTimeOut :10000

This means to me that mPMT and SID settings are ok:

03.12.2006 19:21:04 TDVBHardware.SetTuner PMT: 964SID: 12784

03.12.2006 19:21:04 CI Base SetTuner PMT: 964SID: 12784

DVBsource.ini is empty : ???

Or have to admit that it's not possible to find a problem based on the info of support.zip and debug.log?

Try disable stop stream on tuning in hardware option.

If you delete the sfi frequency in the option it is no longer present, tested it.

eh sfi frequency?

What stands sfi for?

edit:

Stop stream disabled did not solve the problem.

But, I'll switch back to vanilla XP and re-install latest DVBViewer beta again with

oder bda drivers then what I use now.

WHQL'ed BDA drivers: DVBViewer can not detect card.

Latest BDA drivers : 1.2.3.8 : only FTA.

Funny part: WHQL'ed is also 1.2.3.8 so something is not right.

I'm not gonna experiment anymore so I wonder:

Who is using a twinhan DVB-S CI 1030 or 1030A where ecnrypted channels work without problem... which BDA or WDM drivers are used?

WDM 2.41 : choppy video as reported before but nobody answered what could cause the video disortion meaning : lost frames = fast playing dia show.

If BDA is used then it seems that DVBViewer can not access the cam properly.

Channel info shows that the channel is locked and the cam menu

:

Cam menu appears frequently

CAM info: sometimes

Smartcard info: sporadic.

That's why I would like to see a expanded cam menu more DVBViewer related.
