Jiini Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 When adding recordings (manually or from EPG) the list of added recordings (the in record settings) is not permanently saved until DVBViewer is closed. For example: add program from EPG -> PC crashes -> start DVBViewer -> program is not anymore in record settings. add program from EPG -> Shutdown DVBViewer -> start DVBViewer -> program is in the record settings. I have experienced quite a lot of power losses due to electricity line repairings, and lost a lot of recordings because the list was not saved for the restart. Quote

Jiini Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Of course. Did not notice the button at all before, and because PC is normally on 24/7, it was not needed until the power losses started to happen. Thanks alot Quote
Jiini Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Thinking about this issue a little more. What is the point to have the separate Save button? Should this functionality be behind the add, update and remove buttons and send to PVR in EPG, so that the user has not to remember to press additional save button? For example, when sending program from EPG to PVR, you must separately go to the Record settings just to press the save button, so that the recordings are kept permanently in case of the DVBViewer crashes. This could be done automatically. Quote
