Are "unchanged" and VMR7 modes the same thing under XP (VMR7 windowed)??

Unchanged mode gives me smoother picture than VMR7 option in DVBViewer... but better colour in VMR7.

How could i adjust unchanged mode to the rights colours?

I have a Nvidia 7950.

Thanks

No. "Unchanged" (a bit misleading, I renamed it to "default renderer" in the latest GE beta) is the Video Mixing Renderer 7 in windowed mode - the default mode under XP, that uses overlay if accessible (but not the overlay mixer as additional component!).

Under Win2k or Win98 the (unchanged) default mode would be the "classic" simple video renderer without overlay.

In DVBViewer "VMR 7" ist the Video Mixing Renderer 7 in windowless mode.

So... unchanged mode produces a smooth video because of Overlay use (I think)... bu it's a pity that we can't get PQ(VMR) and smooth video(Overlay) at the same time... at least as far as i know. :D

Digital+ Spain broadcast through Astra and Hispasat (both Nagra 2)

Both run flawessly in "Unchanged" mode, but only Hispasat do it in VMR7.

Astra is sightly jerky in VMR7 mode.

What could be the cause?

I have good signal on both dishes.
