finepics Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 A very happy new year to all of the forum from the UK. I would be very grateful for some Noob help!! I have a V-Gear USB DTV stick and until tonight was running this very happily with Win XP SP2, the V-Gear BDA drivers and V3.5 of DVB - in fact it was so good I could not have been happier. Now I have installed Vista Business and am having one or two compatibility problems (oh really!!!). Well it took me a while to get the USB stick recognised but eventually it all worked ok. But now the problem is that the picture badly stutters if I start doing a few tasks. I have noticed that DVB changes the Vista display from the Aero to basic while it's running. If I shut down the programme and re-start it's fine until I do other things with it. Is this still a compatibility issue? Any advice is very gratefully received as this is driving me nuts!! (Please don't tell me to uninstall Vista!!!) Quote
hdv Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Hello, I have noticed that DVB changes the Vista display from the Aero to basic while it's running.don't use Overlay Renderer, use VMR7 or better VMR9. Quote
finepics Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 (edited) Well that was a very rapid and helpful suggestion - absolutely perfect, stutter gone and Aero restored. Many thanks for that and now I am not regretting Vista nearly as much as I was last night!! Edited January 2, 2007 by finepics Quote
