Exel Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 When recording some channels in .TS format DVBViewer is unable to later playback those recordings. It gives an Error "Cannot render mediafile, error: 0x80040265 (Cannot play back the file: the format is not supported)" when trying to open the .ts file. Other channels work fine with all the same record settings (TS with DVB Subtitle enabled). Timeshifting works fine on all channels when the program is tuned, but again you can't load the .ts file later for some channels due to the same error. I have no clue what might be causing the problem, has anyone else encountered this? Running DVBViewer V3.5.0.1 (beta) on Windows XP SP2 with TwinhanDTV Cab-CI ( 2033 Mantis ) with V1.0.3.0 drivers. bergh Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Hello ! Mabe Channels with Resolution other than 720*576. Al lot of MPEG Decoder - Filters can not handle: 480*576 or 5xx*576. Try another MPEG Filter in the DirectX settings. Or give us more information. Quote
Exel Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 ok, but without more input nobody will be able to answer you question What input would that be? Since I have no clue of what might be causing the problem I also have no idea what might be relevant information for it. I'll provide any information I can if I know what is needed. Gioxy Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 What input would that be? You can find all info about the input needed in the nailed post on top of the bug tread: Always follow these instructions. Otherwise no one can - or wants - to help you! Quote
bergh Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 (edited) Hello ! Press the right button (The one with the Tools) in DVBViewer and the resolution ist shown. It can be also shown in teh stausline lower edn of DVBViewer Window. You can use TS Player, or Bitrateviewer too to show the resolution of Video Files. Edited January 14, 2007 by bergh Quote
Quote
Griga Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Please keep the discussion in English! The error only occurs if options -> directx -> use DVBSource for MPEG files is unticked *and* if there is no demultiplexer filter registered that is able to handle ts. Timeshifting works fine on all channels Timeshift always uses the DVBViewer Filter (DVBSource) resp. its built-in demultiplexer, regardless of the setting mentioned above. Quote
Derrick Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Please keep the discussion in English! mea culpa The error only occurs if options -> directx -> use DVBSource for MPEG files is unticked *and* if there is no demultiplexer filter registered that is able to handle ts. true, I should use the DVBViewer more often to play my recordings ..a support.zip would have been very useful in this case Quote
