tage Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Hi and sorry for my bad topic .. i have notice this : when start the pc and start DVBViewer only high freq channels works on lnb2 (12000 and higher) if i want to watch lnb1 i have to close DVBViewer and open pinnacle mediacenter (follows the card) switch to a lnb1 channel , close pinnacle mediacenter and run dvbviwer agan then all lnb1 channels works . the same procedure if i want to watch lnb2 channels but i have to switch to a lnb2 channel in pinnacle prog. i have try every diseqc setting but no difrent (none , simple a , simple b ....) this is litle tricky but it works.. but i hope the diseqc soon works complete in DVBViewer / Tage Quote
Andyba Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Same problem here. Pinnacle 7010IX. No control of diseqc. I know the block, and DVBViewer config is OK and diseqc works fine when I use my Nova-S Plus card. Just can't seem to get it to work on the Pinnacle. Did you find any solution? Rgds Quote
Tjod Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 The combination DiSEqC and Pinnacle is problematical: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=161416 Quote
Andyba Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Thanks I did find some posts (in German so had to do a Google translate) that referred to getting it working. Apparantly you edit a "vendor" line under hardware within setup.ini So far I've found two references:- vendor.x=3 vendor.x=6 For the latter the poster said it worked with his 7010iX Now I had presumed that was with DVBViewer, but presently I can't locate setup.ini for that prog. I can find setup.ini for DVBViewer GE but as I want to use DVBServer I need to locate where to make the vendor setting within DVBViewer. Any pointers please? Thanks Quote
Griga Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Please provide a support.zip: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2210 so we can see as what your card has been detected. If it works with Vendor.x=3, the DiSEqC method is already known, but it has to be assigned to your card in DVBViewer. You can try the Vendor.x=3 trick with TransEdit (see members area, read the included ReadMe!): 1) Launch TransEdit, select Info -> Configuration Folder. 2) Close TransEdit. 3) Open the file TransEdit.ini in the configuration folder with a text editor. 4) Edit the Vendor.x entry in the [Hardware] section (most likely Vendor.0=0 has to be changed to Vendor.0=3) 5) Save the changed file, re-launch TransEdit, select a suitable transponderlist on the left side, try to scan with different Pos/Opt settings. Andyba Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Support.zip attached. Additional support info:- Pinnacle PCTV 7010iX Dual Analog + DVB-T + DVB-S Driver Version 1.0.4.1 Terratec Cinergy 2400i (Not used by DVBViewer) Driver Version 1.1.0.283 MSI P965 Neo-F (7235) P965 + ICH8 ATI Radeon HD 2400 Driver Version 8.471.0.0 With regard to Transedit, that worked. After I changed the setting within transedit.ini as requested, I was able to scan Astra 19.2 with diseqc set to SimpleB and see the list grow correctly within the transedit scan window. SimpleB was the setting that I had previously used (and worked) when I had my NovaS+ card. The Hauppauge has now been removed and replaced by the Pinnacle. I have Astra / Eurobird 28.2 on SimpleA In addition I also have a Terratec 2400i card installed, but both these tuners are set to “do not use” within DVBViewer, as MCE 2005 is configured to use them only. Thanks for your time and support. Rgds Andy support.zip Quote
Lars_MQ Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 One more thing: Could you please start the Pro with all programs-> DVBViewer program group -> support -> DVBViewer (debug), tune one channel with the pinnacle and post the debug.log (or a new support.zip)? I need to know which type of card the Pro detects, because normally if none is detected there is a failsafe which should try the two major method of setting diseqc and one of them should work with this card. Andyba Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Attached Debug.log file. Hopefully it is what you require. Rgds debug.log Quote
Griga Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Ok, a kind of fallback that was supposed to cover cases like yours in DVBViewer Pro doesn't seem to work in the expected way. Will be investigated now... Can you please try to tick Options -> Hardware -> New Tuning Method / Direct Tuning (or whatever it is called in your version) in DVBViewer Pro. Does it enable DiSEqC? Quote
Andyba Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Yes. With New Tuning Method enabled, only for tuners 5 and 6 (the two Pinnacle DVB-S) I was able to scan tune and watch both LNB’s using SimpleA / SimpleB. All solved I thought until I tuned to BBCHD. Initially I had a picture on the top third of the screen, and the sound was “spiky / distorted”. Tried LuxeHD and that was the same. Went back to a non HD channel on 28.2 and was unable to get picture or sound. Re-started DVBPro, and again same problem. To get a picture back the second time I had to re-start the PC. Removed “new tuning method” and HD was OK again, but I was unable to view any of the previously scanned SimpleB services. Re-enabled New tuning Method, and HD now appeared OK! Was able to tune between many different services on both SimpleA and B, and also HD. Then nothing! No picture or sound. Re-started Pro, and apparently back all OK again, but once more after some channel hopping nothing when exiting a HD channel back to an SD one. Unfortunately I can’t seem to repeat the problem reliably, and I need some more time to confirm that it is the New Tuning method selection that is causing the problem, and not something else on my system, but thought you ought to be aware in the short term. One other thing I should also have mentioned previously. I have had to add the DWORD EnableAutoOffset (1) to the registry to get the Pinnacle to scan and detect all the muxes from my local DVB-T. Without this I’m only able to identify the first two. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 In addition to direct tuning you might have to enable Stop stream while tuning. Quote
Andyba Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Thanks No problems since "Stop stream while tuning", and diseqC working correctly too. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Unfortunatly sometimes it is a PITA to find the correct setting. Some cards need stop streaming with direct tuning, most not and this can change with the next driver version Quote
bph Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) In addition to direct tuning you might have to enable Stop stream while tuning. This made my existing 4-lnb disecq setup working in my new Pinnacle 7010ix dvb-s/dvb-t/analoge card! Thanks! Bernhard Edited April 11, 2009 by bph Quote
