Import XMLTV into DVBViewer V3.6.0.2

Hi, everyone.

I think DVBViewer is a brilliant htpc-applikation.

I use 2 FireDTV dvb-c tuners and its working perfect!

Before I started using DVBViewer I used MCE2005 with the FireDTV BDA-plugin.

But MCE2005 lacks a lot of features that is to be found in DVBViewer.

Only thing I really miss in DVBViewer is the ability to load the EPG with XMLTV-data, because the EPG is almost useless for scheduling recordings when I only have EPG-listings for few hours worth.

I have found an old beta-tool that supposedly could import XMLTV-data into the DVBViewer EPG, but it doesnt seem to work. I found a post that said something about that its caused by some changes made in the latest version, which im running.

I would say that if it was made possible to import XMLTV-data into the DVBViewer EPG then it would be just PERFECT!! :idiot:

So my question is, is it just because i havent found the right import-tool, or is it a feature that will be supported in the future?? (I really need to be able to schedule recordings throughout the week...)

Configuration;

DVBViewer v3.6.0.2

2*FireDTV dvb-c on Viaccess

P4 3 Ghz

2 Gb ram

Kind Regards,

Shamrocks

Hi

I installed the myXMLTV program today.

It seems to work but I found the following that seems important:

For your needs you have to look into "Settings // Options... // EPG/Teletext" and:

check Do Not Receive EPG Data (otherwise the DVB-EPG will overwrite your imported XMLTV data!)

check Receive MediaHigway EPG Data

check Persistent EPG Data

set Compression level to 0 or 1

It seems to work for me but I need to do some more checking to be sure.

Still I have to figure out how to automate the process.
