adriankendall Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Hi, I want to run a 3 lnb set up to get Atalantic bird 3, Astra 2 cluster and Hotbird. Which id the best choice of DVB-S (and prefferably S2) card that will work in DVBViewer using DisEsc LNB selection through a switch? I now think mistakingly bought satelco Easywatch DVB-S2 HDTV card which supposedly supports DisEsc dosent seem to work which i am assming is the BDA driver. I also have the DVB-t card which refuses to work along side the DVB-S2 using the BDA but that anothr story. So I will change them both (expensive learning point) so a sugestion of a DVB-T known to co exist with the choice of DVB-S would also be greatfully recived. Ade. Quote
Griga Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 satelco Easywatch DVB-S2 HDTV AFAIK it's a renamed KNC DVB-S2. Maybe it's worth trying whether Windows accepts the KNC BDA drivers 1.7.1.4: http://www.knc1.com/gb.htm If DVBViewer detects it as KNC card, DiSEqC and DVB-S2 should work (at least it does here with KNC DVB-S2). Besides that, DiSEqC works with TechnoTrend, SkyStar HD (TechniSat) and Pinnacle USB DVB-S2 devices, as users reported. Quote
JJ57 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I'm a french user of DVBViewer and I'm using TechnoTrend S2-3200 with a Diseqc 1.0 (DiSEqC ® 1.0 MODELE VCOM 401 REFERENCE 0914322 Plage de fréquences (MHz) 950 - 2150 ) with 3 LNB connected on it. If I've no problem to get all channels from Astra 19.2° connected as position 1 or connector PosA/OptA but I'm unable to get any channels from the LNB on connector2 or PosB/OptA from Hotbird either from LNB3 on connector 3 or PosA/OptB from Atlantic Bird (I get channels when using the TT-Mediacenter software coming with the TT Card). Is ther a special method to configure the diseqc to get channels from Hotbird or Atlantic transpodeur ? Quote

Griga - thanks I am now using those drivers and both cards a running at the same time in the system. Had to uninstall DVBViewer and reinstall b4 it recognised them as KNC cards. Don't have the DisEsc switch set up yet so can't report on that now but once I do i'll look back and report if Ok or not to complete the thread for the benefit of others Quote

JJ57 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Hey Griga ! Any idea about my trouble with DiseqC ? Trifon , a french user told me that with 3.6.1 he also had similar problems it didn't have before with using diseqC ? Quote

adriankendall Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 (edited) Options -> Hardware -> Scan Devices should do it as well... didn't it? No that was the first thing I did and despite device manager in windows reporting them as KNC yet DVBViewer insisted they were still satelco and trying to use the DVB-S card I got no hardware found error. Not a big problem I was on a stlightly older release (Dec 29) so know I am on the latest code As a qucik update I have been able to switch between satelites using simple a/b on a mono block LNB so DisEsc seems to work oK using KNC driver on a satelco card.
