Channel Numbering

Is there a way to manually give channels a number? I see that a channel gets it number from the channel scan order or I can create a favourites list that give a channel order number but I would prefer to assign a channel number that match my provider because I know these off the top of my head. This is possible in My Theatre and ProgDVB
