adriankendall Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Hi some more basic questions I am afriad..... Having got my Satelco DVB-S2 & DVB-T cards working well in DVBViewer thanks to the tip recievd here to switch to KNC beta WDM drivers it brings me to my next stumbling block!! I also have the CI module which is plugged into the DVB-S2 card, I have now got a irdeto cam from ebay. Having plugged it in the cam menu is empty. I guess this could be a multitude of things but my first unknown is do you have to have a subscription card in the CAM before anything happens? Of course any other pointers alway appriciated. Griga Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Sorry, DVBViewer does not support Satelco/KNC CI, and I don't know if it will ever be... unfortunately CI support is not specified in the BDA interface, so it has to be implemented vendor-specific. Quote

OK - that's a pity Fortuneatly I am only interested in the encrypted ABS CBN channles on atlantic bird 3 so I guess the only real options are the application bundled with the satelco card which I assume woul require switching between WDM and BDA drivers to use DVBViewer or have a another DVB-S card for DVBViewer and the satelco dedicated to its own application along with the hassle of running a second cable to the LNB pointing at AB3. Thanks again or your help though. Quote

Reading around the forum looks like twinhan mantis are generically supported but would like to confrim this model before committig to buy. Any takers? Edited March 6, 2007 by adriankendall Quote
