Skipping (+10,+30 Etc) Takes A Long Timet To A/v Sync Again

Configuration:

Amd Athlon 64 3500+, 1GB, Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo T,

XP, sp2

MB: Asus A8NE-FM

GC: GeForce 6600, FW 81.98

DVB-T: TechnoTrend Budget 1500T+Conax CAM and Nebula PCI DigiTV

DVBViewer: 3.6.1.2

Setup.xml attached

And the problem itself:

When playing recorded file and try to skip (+-10,30,60s) forward/backward it takes between 1s-> 35s to sync a/v and continue playback. If I use Media Player, Viplay or VLC player -> no problem with skipping forward/backward.

Press skip +30s -> video stops to still image and audio keeps going for awhile -> audio stops -> video starts working again -> a/v are synced and working as expected.

Any ideas where to tweak?

setup.xml

I guess you have installed ffdshow, and it is used as "system default" video decoder (I experienced the same behaviour with ffdshow). Select a specific (and different) video decoder under Options -> DirectX.

ffdshow was the default decoder and after testing every options best and fastest option on my system is

"Videocodec">InterVideo Video Decoder

So problem solved.

Thanks
