interalia Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Hi Does anyone have any recommendations for DVD mastering software? I am getting low on HD space and want to copy my mp4's recorded by DVBViewer onto DVD but in DVD format to play on my older consumer DVD unit. I only want basic software. Thanks Neil Quote
Eiffel Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Neil, You may want to look at the following applications: Adobe Premiere Elements Sony Vegas Movie Studio TMPGEnc (this company has multiple 'solutions' the doom9 forum may give you some more idea I would suggest that you download the trial versions of these applications and ensure that (1) they work on your PC and (2) that they support mp4 as an input format Good luck! bergh Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Hello ! Perhaps some more Basics: MP4 MPEG4 ? or do you mean H264 what is MPEG 4 in a way. Nevertheless older NON-DIVx/XVID Players does not Support MPEG4 only MPEG 2 in Form of a Video-DVD is supported. So : You need : - MPEG Encoder - DVD Authoring Software - DVD Burning Software There are all-in-one Solutions, and single Programs for any of the purposes mentioned above. If you are able to record/stream in MPEG 2 or TS or PVA do it, because this streams may be more or less following th e DVD Standard. If not you have to convert them with an MPEG Encoder TNMPGEnc is such a program. TDA =Tsunami DVD Author is a verry good DVD authoring tool na can burn DVDs with high compability. to be found : www.pegasys-inc.com There are some freeware solutions that might work: avi2dvd and DVD Author and DVD author GUI may help you. Doom9 in anyway is a good Forum to get help. (I am to find in the German Doom9, hence you might prefere the english one ) Quote
