luca Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 could u tell me if is a solution with xvid movies the volume is too low Quote
CiNcH Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 You can try using ffdshow as audio decoder. There you have the possibility to amplify volume. I am pretty sure that ffdshow will handle your audio format though you have only mentioned video format (should be MP3 or AAC...). So it only depends on the audio processing chain, which can be customized with a DirectShow player like DVBViewer. Quote
luca Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 i cannot change settings on ffdshow audio codecs, do i need to reinstall DVBViewer? Quote
CiNcH Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 (edited) Customization for DirectShow is achieved by changing the merit value of a DirectShow filter. In the DVBViewer members area you will find the RadLight Filter Mangager. First check which audio format your movie is in, then look through the DirectShow filters supporting the desired audio format with the manager. Important is that ffdshow audio decoder has the highest merit of all audio decoder filters in the end cause that is the decoder that will be used then. Also check the ffdshow audio decoder configuration and verify that the desired audio format is enabled. Edited March 30, 2007 by CiNcH Quote
CiNcH Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Or an even easier solution... As the DVBViewer should build the default graph for formats it does not know, also using ffdshow as audio post processor should be possible. To achieve that simply enable Uncompressed in the ffdshow audio decoder configuration. Then ffdshow sould be in every filter graph after the actual decoder as post processor, in your case for amplifying volume... Quote
