Tei

..stands for Transport Error indicator. Packets suffering from errors due to a disturbed transmission channel will carry this indicator (TEI=1) at the output of the digital demodulator. Driver or application normally drop those packets which will result in the famous discontinuities.

Sometimes (for test purposes) the error indicator is set on purpose in the multiplexer at the transmitter. On Astra 19E there is such a transponder active so everybody can check, whether packets with TEI=1 are filtered or not. Just tune with Transedit to 12728V, 19890, 3/4. There is no useful SI but before the SDT said Rhode&Schwarz :)

btw.

there are 2 new empty transponders active on 19E. Candidates for the new pro7 trasnponder? :bye:

12546H, 22000, 5/5

12090V, 27500, 3/4

The Frequenz 12545 H is Transpondser 107. Lyngsat: Astra 1E/1F/1G/1H/1KR/2C

Then all important german TV-Stations on Horizontal, thats good for Users with one cable and two dvb-cards. :)

Pro7 has started its services on 12545H (actually according to the NIT it's 12544H :bye: ). There are some services missing. The new transponder has less bandwidth.

ps.

if you compare the bit rates for the different services you can see a big increase on the new transponder !!
