When I go to DVBViewer GE I now get an error message saying 'Initialising the DVB device has failed'

Where should I look to resolve this please.

This is the first major problem I've had since I first installed last summer.

I presume this means the SkyStar 2 as I have the same problem trying to start progdvb, the error message there says only

'Device not started.'

On progdvb I've had a problem with picture breaking up, (is pixylated the word for this?). I'd downloaded the latest version of progdvb but didnt link and activate the Elecard Video Decoder to the new version. DVBViewer wasnt affected at that time.

I uninstalled progdvb and elecard, reinstalled both and it worked first but in trying to update the 0192 Astra I9E I've messed something up.

Now when I need the dvbviewerGE its not working either. I really need advice from someone, its all got too complicated for me to sussout.

Maybe you will need to reinstall the TechniSat software. It contains two files that are required for running DVBViewer.

My guess: Divine intervention. Mystiriously and suddendly your system is rendered unusable (did you watch too much sinful channels? :bye: ).

Well it could be also you played around too much and simply deleted/removed important files of the technisat installation...

Panic Over.

SS2 was shown as Disconnected in Network Connections.

Thanks, to the email sender.

Yes I have messed around a lot with things I dont understand and now I'd better check that every part that I use is still there.

Thanks again
