boborg Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 (edited) I've just reinstalled DVBViewer latest version and I set it up to use DVBViewer Recording service and autostart with windows. Now upon reboot the service is listed under windows services as started but the Systemtray controlprogram (set to autostart) is grey and if I point the mouse over it it says DVBViewer Service is stopped. No recordings take place. If I click restart service in Windows service manager it starts ok. So what do you think is the reason for this? I've made a bat file in windows startup folder as a workaround using these commands net stop DVBVRecorder net start DVBVRecorder Edited April 7, 2007 by boborg Quote

Lars_MQ Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Seem ok. Are you sure the service is marked as automatic starting in the service settings of windows? I don't know how it's named in non-german windows versions. should be in the systemsettings / administration or something like this. Quote

And as I said it comes up as started inside the service settings window but stopped on the system tray icon as shown in the attachment. It's funny as it worked fine before I did an un/reinstall of DVBViewer. Anyway I'll just keep having the bat file stop/start the service then in the windows startup folder. I've tried to uninstall/re install DVBViewer and also the recording servie but no change. Could you please help me to find from where the problem can come?
