Dvbviewer Does Not Work In Most Of The Cases

Hi,

 

I have bought your program a week ago, have sent immediately my comments, have not got any support or response since then.

That's not nice.

 

 

It is still not working.

 

I am using digital cable Twinhan card with CI interfarce and smartcard (Multikabel). www.multikabel.nl

 

 

It works only for several channels NED1, NED2, NED3 and a few others.

This has nothing to do with free to air, as NED1 is not coded, but NED2 and NED3 are.

 

 

For the rest of the channels (hundred) no receipt, the screen is black, no sound, I see an asterix by the channels name below.

 

I can receive all the channels on the same PC using mediaportal or the Digital TV viewer of Twinhan.

So the problem is not with my card, but with your program.

 

Please solve this.

why you exclude the config step/channel update you have made? Because you have made it, isn't it?

Yes, the step config /channel update went successfully, so I have the proper list of the channels, but most them does not work as written earlier.

You told that mediaportal and the twinhan application worked good.

Now, how good. Cause, My pervious twinhan was also able to play decent with mediaportal and twinhan app but

as soon when i started a burn in test then all these fail so there's a point where video became errors and not small errors.

So you shoukld testrun for instance mediaportal for several hours (minimum 8) and if that is passed , ok, then it's time to look deeper in the current config.

 

if video error appears: dump the twinhan and switch to Digital everywhere Fire/Floppy DVB-C/CI

You need one free firewire400 or 800 connector , has a very good power connection ...ok..less important for cable as for satellite and this solution offers firmware update.

 

Twinhan can make good cards but known to have problems, it means something that they have so much revisions.

 

Use Cyberlinks powerDVD 7 video codec

Use the Cyberlink H.264/AVC codec for HDTV if H264 is uded.

Use the AC3 filter

 

No clue on Vista, I usual advice people to wait till service pack 1 is released for Vista.

Hi, this is not the issue of the twinhan, but the issue of the DVBViewer, because this application does not work at all for 95% of the channels, but the twinhan aplication and the mediaporatl do work without any problems.

nono, problem is part Vista and drivers part DVB-C card and it's drivers and perhaps part wrong DVBViewer setings

 

As soon when DVBViewer accepts a continuous stream then it can work very stable.

I had huge problem with DVB-S and all video problems dissapeared at once after switching from Twinhan DVB-S 1030A

to FloppyDTV-S/CI. Our mediacenter ran more then 24 hours (burn-in), more related to check temperatures and DVBViewer

did not cause any problem. I have to say, I don't use standby or hibernate cause system boots fast enough.

 

And Vista, Microsoft was NEVER abale to release a stable and safe OS so why would that change suddenly with the release of Vista?I don't recommend Vista at this moment. XP (not even mediacenter) runs fine enough.

Be carefull with that statement. Remember DVB-S 1030A problem?

DVBViewer was able to access the cam but slow and with ups and downs meaning sometime access, sometimes no access

retrieving cam info took ages and I struggled with drivers/codec's.

In my opinion, Twinhan has too many versions released which is not a good sign, i might be wrong tho.

But let's face it, after switching to Floppy DTV, all videoproblems suddenly gone.

 

I still have the 1030A, not sure to sell it cause it might operate eratic.

Oh and indeed mediaportal did work a bit stable but it was just a matter of time and poof, video freeze or sort of slide show.

FTA was no problem but hey, our TV provider is encrypted.

Anyway the smart-card works OK with the other applications as mentioned, it decrypts the channels properly. (as well as within the normal decoder). With the DVBViewer recognizes only some of the channels as decrypted, I also have noticed that the program receives Teletext only from those channels which were not encrypted at all, for some other channels which were decrypted, it does not recongnize the teletext though shows the picture and sound, for others - no picture, no sound , no teletext, though should have been decrypted by the card.
