Hironimo
Hi there. (sorry for the incorrect title, is not technisat but technotrend) I've got a technisat dvb-s2 3200. I can play and record hdtv channels (sat.1 and pro 7) without problems on XP. But when I try that under vista, the program is either not responding anymore (audio is still played, but no video is displayed) or when resizing it vanishes (both from sceen and program list, but not from process list in task manager) but audio is still there. I use the drivers I got from the cd as I did not find any (newer) ones anywhere. Are there updated drivers or h.264 (cyberlink) decoders that can help here? Working with normal mpeg2 channels works flawlessly, I can even use the card in windows vista media center (after installing the u universal dvb reciever software). Thanx! Here you'll find the latest BDA drivers for Windows XP & Vista , inside the "TT-Media Center 1.0.7.3 (09.02.2007) Beta" at the bottom of the page http://www.technotrend.com/english/download/download.html Quote Link to comment

Lars_MQ
I think you mixed up the equation a little bitte. It should be Vista - (ServicePack 2) = Bad One should think the people should have learned from the past... Quote Link to comment
Hironimo
I think you mixed up the equation a little bitte. It should be Vista - (ServicePack 2) = Bad One should think the people should have learned from the past... Well, sure it would be better to have a service pack for vista but the first one is coming somtime in the second half of this year, so this is still a wait. I doubt however that any service pack of vista will do much difference here. The difference will more likely come from proper vista drivers, decoders and dvb player software - at least thats my guess. Concerning the new beta drivers: I managed to install the bare drivers, but when I try to install the application that results in a bluescreen, at least so far (i'll give it another try later). Does the application even have updated (Cyberlink) decoders? And anyway - is DVBViewer reported to work correctly with hdtv content in vista? Quote Link to comment
Hironimo
I tried the beta drivers but nothing changed. DVBViewer ist still extremely unstable for hdtv - mostly it will not react anymore - it all depends on the situation: When I have just started vista and DVBViewer, I am able to move through menus or even do some resizing to a certain point. When I have had Vista running for a while and DVBViewer has has problem before and I start it again, it will stop reacting (even though audio and partly video) is still played. Quote Link to comment
