McenterFreak Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I am very interested to know why some questions/bug reports are taken very seriously, but others get no reaction at all! What are the criterias you use when deciding to take action or not? Quote
Benarty Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I am very interested to know why some questions/bug reports are taken very seriously, but others get no reaction at all! What are the criterias you use when deciding to take action or not? I would say, if it's indeed a BUG, then they could be classified according their importance. A bug that crashes DVBViewer seems more important then a small OSD problem. Also, they are humans who have to spend their prescious time ..and there is more then just coding every day. Looking at the price of DVBViewer, support is GOOD and If you really would have a more extended support then I guess this is possible but only when DVBViewer will costs not 15 euro but more in the range of 100-150 euro. Am I happy with the current solution? Sure Quote
dezzy Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) Am I happy with the current solution? Sure Me too. Great software for a modest price. Is there anything on this planet better to play your DVB ?? I have tried plenty of software but none of it is as good as DVBViewer. If you have a problem, try again and describe what you want as a solution. Edited April 21, 2007 by dezzy Quote
McenterFreak Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 I just wanted to know what is the criterias that make one bug more important than another? I do understand that it is a cheap price, 15 euro, but 126.000 downloads from registred (paid) members shows that it is not a economical disaster! Quote
patti Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I do understand that it is a cheap price, 15 euro, but 126.000 downloads from registred (paid) members shows that it is not a economical disaster! I believe that that number of downloads represents ALL downloads, not just those that are first time downloads from just registered customers. In other words, that number includes downloads of new versions as well as first time downloads. And I for example, have downloaded DVBViewer at least 5 times because I had to reinstall and didn't have the setup.exe on my hard drive. So the real number of paying customers can be A LOT smaller than what the download counter shows. Great software for a great price in my opinion! Quote
