barcella Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Hi, I have an audio problem when I want to look (and record) a channel (Canal+ Hightech HD) in english. (h264, ac3) When I scanned the Frequency 12522, DVBViewer just found 1 single Channel for pid:160 (CANAL+ HI-TECH HD (H.264,...truncated name...), with a APID=82 (french) as I know that there is an other pid (83, for english), I created an other channel manualy. When I click on this new channel, sometimes I get some sound (in english), some times I don't (on the same tv program). In this case, I have to select manualy the audio stream (in fact, the curent one). If I stop, and restart DVBViewer, it starts on this channel, and I never get any sound (audio state: no data/connected in filters). Of course, when I try to record from the PVR, English audio is missing (french is there). THAT's MY REAL PROBLEM Could someone try the same, and tell me if there is some fix (ini file attached) thanks (Technotrend S3200 on Vista) Canal_HD_pb.ini Quote

Lars_MQ Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 sorry somehow this thread got lost... Did you try to record the channel (with the french language track) as TS with the option record all audio (options -> recorder)? In this case the DVBViewer adds automatically all audiotracks belonging to the selected channel. If the pmt of the channel is correct the english language track should be pressent. Quote

Yes, I record it as .ts (h264), with all options. What I forgot to say is that, in this case, the scheduler service will record a corrupt .ts file , that no player will accept. The only way to record a good ts, is to switch to this channel, select english audio (second audio, 1rts is french), wait a couple of second for the sound to come, and then let the program run all day long, to permit the internal scheduler to record the program. Of course, if you chose a program on an other channel, it will be unable to switch back to this Channel with all audio tracks. thanks Quote
incognito Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Hello, Same problem here, not only with HD channels but with all the French Canal+ channels. No sound when I select English PID. Please find attached the support.zip file. It seems this problem is not new, check this link http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=16557. Is there anyone here who is able to watch the French Canal+/CanalSat in english? I only miss this feature, otherwise I love DV! I'm going to try DVBViewer GE to see if it makes a difference. Cheers, Olivier. support.zip Edited June 20, 2007 by incognito Quote
incognito Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Oops, I just discovered that DVBViewer GE does not support CI... Dear fellow developers, could you please let me know if someone is looking after this problem? Many thanks, Olivier. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 If the AudioPID of the english stream ist correctly set in the channeldata there is only one possibility: Your CAM is not able (or willing) to decrypt more than one audiostream. Nothing we can do about this. And so far nobody did confirm a general problem with the French Canal+. Quote
incognito Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Thank you for your prompt reply. I've checked the AudioPID and everything is set correctly. Furthermore, I'm able to decrypt the english audiostream with the same CAM (Aston)/Official Canal+ card on my digital receiver and with the different DVB applications available out there. It's hard for me to believe that the CAM is faulty then. Should I send you a log file, will it help? Look at my previous post, some users experienced the same issue. I will ask the French forum to see if I'm the only one to experience this issue. Many thanks for your support, Olivier. Quote
incognito Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Hello, Finally, I found the problem, it was my Aston CAM. It's strange though, as it's working fine on my Echostar DVR7000! Thanks and brgds, Olivier. Quote
