Exel Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 So I updated to 3.6.1.20 from 3.5.0.xx in hopes of resolving some issues with video streaming. Well that didn't happen, but instead I got new issues, this time with aspect ratios. - The "Auto" setting no longer detects wide-screen format on many channels, but instead forces a 4:3 ratio on many 16:9 streams. - I can no longer use zoom (Pan & Scan) to manually cut out the black bars on some channels. Instead of keeping the stream centered, the zoom function now for some reason keeps the top edge of the video fixed to the top of the player so when I zoom, the image enlarges down and to the sides but not up - so the top black bar remains. - The "Best Width" option is now grayed out on some channels. I've tried using different video renderers and decoders, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Before I updated, the aspect ratio settings worked consistently on all channels. I'm running DVBViewer on Windows XP SP2 with TwinhanDTV Cab-CI 2033 Mantis. Quote

Im having the same problem, on most chans auto doesnt work, it just sets it to 4:3 However ive noticed that if i go from fullscreen to windowmode and then back to fullscreen it fixes the aspectratio, weird... nEE Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 i "fixed" the problem. It was the nvidia video decoder who was screwing with me. For now i just stopped using it, letting cyberlink's codec do the work for now. Quote
