matthy Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Hello, DVBViewer works really well with my S2-3200 (though i have no HD stream to test), but i don't find how to make my usb key (Cinergy T USB XE) work... A normal scan gives me 0 channels; using Transedit, i see all the french channels (the same i get from the Terratec software), but when i send them to DVBViewer and try to open them, i get nothing, no video, no audio, no EPG. That's sad since, with my DVB-S card, i don't have most of the DVB-T channels (i have the EPG but no video neither audio, can't know why)... So i wish i could have ALL channels in DVBViewer instead of using two softwares (moreover, the Terratec one doesn't support streaming ^^). Please help me... Thanks ! Matthy Quote
Griga Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 AFAIK the XE stick is not supported by DVBViewer Pro. It requires special means, because it's an USB 1.1 device, that is not able to deliver a whole transponder (like BDA USB 2.0 devices), due to its limited data rate. That's why the XE has to work with hardware PID filters, which must be set by the application, or with other words, the application must tell the XE which streams of the transponder it wants. Usually BDA devices deliver the whole transponder (so the application gets all streams without requesting them), otherwise they are not really BDA compliant. I've implemented the special code that is required for the TerraTec XE in DVBViewer GE (see members area, read the ReadMe!). However, DVBViewer GE does not support streaming either. Due to the limited data rate there are additional drawbacks. E.g. it isn't possible to record one channel and at the same time watch another one on the same transponder... so I would give the XE back, if possible, and buy a true USB 2.0 DVB-T stick (not USB 2.0 compatible, that's not enough), e.g. the Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-T SE.
