os1
Hi I am trying to setup my HTPC with Technotrend S2-3200 dvb-s/dvb-s2 card with DVBViewer. My system freezes up a lot. Tried a few different codecs but it still is buggy. I'm considering buying a faster pc/better graphic card. My hope is that if people have a stable system with S2-3200 and DVBViewer, they would post their setup here. Please post your hardware, OS, codecs, option settings etc. It would be nice to have a thread focusing only on stable setups. This should be done for different tv cards I think. It would benefit lazy guys like me , and others in this forum. I would appreciate any feedback OS1 Quote Link to comment
uglyrooster
Beta-Driver 5.0.0.2, Vista (or XP), NVidia-Decoder with MPEG2 (Cyberlink has a small bug in newest version), Cyberlink PowerDVD with H264, AC3-decoder sound via SPDIF, Overlay. Problems occur mostly with CAM. Above configuration is 100% stable without CAM and without Plugins. Quote Link to comment
Dr. Cain
Check your signal strength too, it might be an issue. Works just fine for me now that I rewired the satellite wall socket. System: C2D @ 2.2 Ghz, ATi X700 Class, connected to HDTV via HDMI. Conax CAM with Canal Digital (nordic) subscription card. Running recent beta with TT 5.x.x drivers.
