Flepp Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Hello First of all Videotext is working like a charm compared to some settop boxes But is it possible to include 2 options which aren't possible on settopboxes - Some channels transmit Hex numbered Videotext Pages. Is it possible to include a hex keypad to view those pages ? - Copy paste of text to other applications Thx Quote
Guest hackbart Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Hex numbered teletext pages Ui i never seen them, could you give me an example? Christian Quote
Flepp Posted November 6, 2002 Author Posted November 6, 2002 Well the Teletext is Hexadecimal anyway, but on an normal Tv set only 0-9 is available. In theory FFF could be a valid page. I know in the past ,before the internet was public, Cnn(analogue) had some Financial information on their teletext pages (hexadecimal)which could then be accessed with a special decoder. But those pages were encrypted. At this time i really don't know which channels still uses such transmissions , but if they would be cached within the DVBViewer they could be found easily. It could be that quiz answers are in those hidden pages.Ex when you need to answer questions one by one then the last question if correctly answered will guide you to the hidden page with maybe a winning key. I wanted to publish this topic to see other users comments. Quote
Guest hackbart Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 hmm, well i work internal with decimal pages and subpages. A Page which is stored as FF would be reached by typing 255. In older versions there was some sort of counter inside, which means that instead of the text DVBxTT was written a Pagevalue, to save displayspace i showed the value in hexadecimal. Anyway i will add an option to dump all data into one directory, either as TTX, Ascii Text or Png/Bmp/Jpeg. Christian Quote
