willebra Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Ok, is there a simple solution for this? If I set a film for recording through the EPG, the recording starts autmatically and typically records a couple of minutes of program before the film starts and 15 minutes or so after the end of the film. (I have made these settings to DVBViewer, but that's how it needs to be, to be sure that the film gets recorded and I do not loose the last 2-10 minutes.) So, after this I have a file with some 15 extra minutes. How can I edit the mpg-file to take these extra minutes out of the file (to make the file tidier etc.)? Thanks Quote
Moses Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 There is a simple and fast (but not free) method that people arround here like: an app called VideoReDo. That should be able to do, what you want. There are some other possibilities with various free tools, for example Cuttermaran or so. Take a look at this forum section, maybe you get some hints there: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showforum=10 (sadly it's mainly german.. hm) Quote

Lakeuk Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I can vouch for VideoReDo, an excellent programme and also does a semi-good job of identifying the adverts Quote
McenterFreak Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I can vouch for VideoReDo, an excellent programme and also does a semi-good job of identifying the adverts The reason for me NOT to vote for VideoRedo is the simple fact that i Live in Denmark, where we use DVB subtitles, which VideoReDo can not handle Quote
dezzy Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 ... we use DVB subtitles, which VideoReDo can not handle Me too, consequently I also prefer ProjectX. Output to .ts file if you just want to trim the file. ProjectX output to demux>GUI for DVDAuthor>Nero Recode to produce DVDs with subtitles. Quote
