pkcahier Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Hello all, I have been using the network streaming module, which works fine. Sadly sometimes my reception isnt perfect and some packets come in corrupted/incomplete. What I have noticed is that the reception resumes after a few s, at the same point where it left. And after this happends a few times, my guess is that the buffer for it gets all filled, and it enters a mode where everything becomes permanently jerky(sound is fine, just video is displaying frames not smoothly). I have had this behaviour with every single combination of video decoders/audio decoders/video renderers, so I am fairly sure it is at the dvbsource level.(Plus the problem happened both when I had the card directly plugged in, and now using the server/client architecture remotely). Is there not a way to do some sort of frame dropping so that when something cuts it doesnt display until it's able to catch up and/or it catches up? That way it wouldnt fill in progressively or so. Best Regards, Paul Cahier Quote
dezzy Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 You can process a recorded file with either ProjectX or VideoRedo to fix errors inherent in any broadcast. I am not sure if you can fix a live broadcast "on the fly." Quote
